Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Portland District is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of Fish Pump Unit 1 at John Day Lock and Dam. The work includes removal, refurbishment, and replacement of major components, including vertical shaft assemblies, pump propellers, bearings, bearing brackets, right-angle drive gearboxes, and extension shafts. The project may involve disassembly, off-site shop repair, precision machining, fabrication, painting, reinstallation, and alignment. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. Amendment 0003 extends the bid deadline to September 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time, with public bid opening at 10:00 AM the same day. Amendment 0002 adds six technical attachments, removes the technical sections attachment, revises component terminology and painting requirements, and extends the outage window through June 30, 2028.
