Description
Rostraver Township is soliciting bids for two related construction contracts for its raw sewage pump replacement project: Contract 2026-07A for general/mechanical construction and Contract 2026-07B for electrical construction. The work includes removing and replacing four existing raw sewage pumps, motors, piping, valves, check valves, air-release valves, safety disconnects, and a duplex seal-water system. The general/mechanical contract also includes temporary bypass pumping, demolition, site and structural work, equipment installation, testing, startup, painting, and coordination of wastewater treatment plant operations. The electrical contract includes demolition and replacement of pump power and control wiring, conduit, disconnect switches, VFD-related connections, seal-water-system power and controls, breakers, control panels, grounding, raceways, and SCADA interface hardware. Bidders must submit qualifications information, subcontractor and equipment/material lists, a Public Works Employment Verification Form, bid forms, bid bonds, and the required PennBid questionnaires and pricing tables. The project has an estimated value of $500,000 for Contract 2026-07A and $100,000 for Contract 2026-07B. The expected duration is 365 days to substantial completion and 395 days to final payment. Prevailing wages, domestic steel requirements, performance and payment bonds, a warranty bond, and specified insurance coverage apply.
