Description
The University of the Fraser Valley is seeking proposals from qualified multidisciplinary consulting teams to complete a comprehensive Building Condition Assessment and Feasibility Study for Building T at the Chilliwack Campus. The work includes assessing architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, electrical, life-safety, and other base-building systems; reviewing available background documentation; conducting field reviews; developing an asset inventory and risk-ranking matrix; identifying deficiencies, risks, remaining useful life, and renewal needs; and coordinating with related building-envelope and high-voltage assessment consultants. The scope is limited to the building interior and base-building systems; loose furniture, detailed code review, and building-envelope investigations are excluded. The consultant must develop prioritized renewal and feasibility options, Class D cost estimates, preventative-maintenance and operational recommendations, and a 5- to 10-year capital renewal, deferred-maintenance, and preventative-maintenance roadmap. Proponents must include $1,000 cash allowances for intrusive investigations and hazardous-materials testing. Final reports and recommendations must be reviewed and signed or sealed by the responsible registered architect or professional engineer, as applicable. The final deliverables deadline has been extended to February 15, 2027; the proposal closing date remains October 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time. The final presentation will be virtual, and the questionnaire has a 32,767-character limit per response cell.
