Description
The California Department of General Services, Facilities Management Division, is soliciting a contractor to provide preventive maintenance, repairs, and parts and door replacement for roll-up doors, gates, operators, and related equipment. Services include semiannual cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, alignment, safety and electrical inspections, operational testing, foreseeable repairs, and unforeseeable repairs. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials, respond to repair requests within one business day, and obtain approval before performing work or ordering replacement parts. Work will be performed at seven state facilities in Sacramento. The contract is anticipated to run for three years, with services subject to prevailing-wage requirements. Bidders must hold a valid California D-28 Doors, Gates, and Activating Devices license, submit proof of general liability, commercial automobile, workers’ compensation, and professional liability insurance, provide at least three similar references from the past five years, and meet a 3% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation requirement.
