Description
Valley Water is soliciting a contractor to provide as-needed maintenance and repair support for existing utility systems, equipment, and related appurtenances. The scope includes troubleshooting, inspection, adjustment, mechanical repair, like-for-like replacement, fabrication, welding, fitting, restoration, installation support, task-specific engineering, mobilization, and emergency stabilization or repair. Work will be authorized through task orders or emergency task-order authorizations and will be compensated under approved time-and-materials rates, markups, equipment charges, and task-specific not-to-exceed amounts. The contract excludes new construction, capital improvements, asset expansion, system upgrades, material alterations, standalone design or engineering, general facilities maintenance, environmental remediation, and unrestricted staffing. Contractors must maintain a fabrication shop, provide qualified and properly licensed personnel, comply with California public-works, prevailing-wage, DIR, safety, insurance, bonding, and labor-compliance requirements, and respond physically to authorized emergency work within four hours unless otherwise approved. The solicitation requires a Class A or Class B California contractor's license and includes extensive insurance, bid-security, performance-bond, and payment-bond requirements.
