Description
The Indian Health Service is conducting market research for a qualified small-business contractor to furnish blood and blood products for direct patient care in emergency, operating-room, obstetrical, and other clinical settings. Required products include packed red blood cells, fresh frozen plasma, platelets, and, when ordered, irradiated, leukocyte-reduced, CMV-negative, washed, antigen-negative, pediatric, and other specialty blood components. The contemplated acquisition is a firm-fixed-price, single-award IDIQ purchase order or contract with a one-year base period and four option years. The contractor would maintain agreed blood-stock levels, provide routine and emergency orders 24 hours per day, seven days per week, deliver products under validated temperature-controlled conditions, support inventory rotation and replacement, and provide traceability, shipping, temperature, recall, corrective-action, and performance documentation. Responses must be capability statements of no more than 10 single-sided pages, with specified formatting, experience, capacity, business-status, and UEI information.
