Description
The U.S. Air Force requires one new, custom-manufactured 46- to 50-foot gooseneck EOD Nuclear Response Trailer. The trailer must function as a self-sustaining mobile operations and life-support platform for a six-person Explosive Ordnance Disposal team conducting multi-day nuclear accident or incident response missions in extreme cold-weather conditions and over unimproved roads. The scope includes engineering and fabrication; 3D CAD drawings and system schematics; heavy-duty chassis, suspension, storage, climate-control, generator, fuel, electrical, battery, plumbing, habitation, command-and-control, bathroom/decontamination, tactical garage, lighting, communications-preparation, EOD equipment-storage, and charging systems. The contractor must transport and deliver the completed trailer to Minot Air Force Base, provide three printed manuals plus one electronic PDF manual, and conduct up to 16 hours of hands-on, on-site systems orientation and training. The acquisition is a firm-fixed-price RFQ and is subject to availability of funds.
