The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contract for crane rental and operator services to support modification of the Garrison Dam intake trash racks. The contractor must provide the crane, operator, equipment, tools, vehicles, supervision, fuel, lubricants, mobilization and demobilization, and all other work necessary to remove and reinstall trash racks for Units 2 and 3. The crane must be capable of lifting approximately 30,000-pound trash rack and lifting-beam assemblies, lowering modified assemblies weighing approximately 33,000 pounds, and overcoming lifting friction equivalent to approximately 41,000 pounds. The anticipated work duration is six days per unit, with approximately one week expected for each unit, and the contractor must remain available if additional days are needed. Required pre-work submittals include a certificate of insurance, crane operator certification and training documentation, an Accident Prevention Plan using ENG Form 6293, a lift plan, and an Activity Hazard Analysis. The solicitation requires at least three similar crane-operation project examples from the past two years, with verifiable reference contact information or reference letters, and requires completion of the attached Proposal Schedule.
