Description
Ocean County is seeking qualified vendors to provide medical testing and laboratory services associated with autopsies performed by the County Medical Examiner’s Office. The scope includes assistance of a diener, preparation of slides and blocks, X-rays, autopsy photography, vitreous fluid testing, wound cultures, blood cultures, viral cultures, and fluid osmolality testing. The County performed more than 300 autopsies in the prior year but provides no guarantee regarding future usage frequency. Respondents must demonstrate at least two years of relevant experience and provide information about assigned personnel, education, licenses and certifications, staffing support, timely performance capability, four professional references, a service rate schedule, required vendor-questionnaire documents, and a certificate of insurance. The opportunity is structured as a one-year contract, with project-specific work and purchase orders potentially issued for individual projects.
