Description
Des Moines Public Schools is seeking a vendor to provide high-quality, applied CTE and STEM curriculum and related implementation support for grades 7–8. The curriculum must use hands-on, project- and problem-based learning and support equitable implementation across comprehensive middle schools, including accessibility accommodations, multilingual support where available, and alignment with Universal Design for Learning principles. The requested six-course sequence covers computer programming, medical exploration, design and modeling, automation and robotics, business basics, and cybersecurity. Proposals must address course scope and sequence, unit plans, daily instructional resources, student materials, assessments, rubrics, teacher guides, technology and physical-material requirements, and required versus recommended or optional resources. The selected vendor must also provide initial implementation training, equipment and software training, ongoing technical assistance, curriculum updates, virtual coaching, troubleshooting, teacher onboarding, pacing guidance, and assessment support. Responses are limited to 30 pages excluding the Proposal Response Cover Page and must be submitted electronically as a PDF through the District's online procurement system.
