Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is soliciting bids for a passive treatment rehabilitation project at Bellwood Reservoir North. The work will rehabilitate an existing acid mine drainage treatment system and includes mobilization; erosion and sediment controls; clearing and grubbing of approximately 7.5 acres; grading and embankment construction; dewatering and cleaning existing treatment ponds; placement of approximately 7,500 tons of limestone aggregate; impervious clay lining; piping; water-level control structures; settling pond baffles; aerobic wetland construction and planting; access-road work; sediment burial; and installation of a trash rack. The project is subject to federal Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage requirements and Build America, Buy America requirements. The successful bidder must submit the Worker Protection and Investment Certification Form with the bid, and the bid must be signed and submitted electronically through Bid Express. A bid bond is required, with bid guaranty submitted using an Electronic Bond Verification Number through SurePath Bonding. The stated contract duration is 365 calendar days, with work required to begin within 10 calendar days after notice to proceed and to be completed within 250 calendar days after the official contract start date.
