Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons seeks a contractor to furnish and install a new chairlift at FCI Loretto. The work includes disconnecting and removing the existing chairlift, installing the replacement in the same location, and providing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment. The chairlift serves a stairway with 16 stairs, a landing, and three additional stairs, and uses a dedicated 240-volt circuit. The replacement must be ADA compliant, support a 660-pound capacity, and include obstruction sensors, safety lights, emergency manual folding and lowering, safety barrier arms, and overspeed safety features. The contractor must obtain field measurements and manufacturer installation recommendations, perform testing, and comply with applicable Federal Bureau of Prisons technical design guidelines, seismic, environmental, life-safety, NFPA, ADA-ABA, and Federal, State, and local requirements. The project has a 90-calendar-day performance period from issuance of the notice to proceed. Quotations must include product specification and submittal information, the required solicitation pages and cover page, and past-performance information from at least five references; reference questionnaires must be sent directly to the contracting officer by the references.
