Description
This solicitation seeks architect-engineer design services for the Remediate Reserve Center UST Project at the Altoona VA Medical Center. The work concerns environmental assessment and remediation of an undocumented underground storage tank, including investigation of the garage area, Ground Penetrating Radar scanning to determine the tank's size and extent, identification of underground drainage connections, and assessment of potential soil contamination. The selected firm will develop the remediation design for removal of the underground storage tank and contaminated soil, restoration of the parking lot, and remediation of contaminated soil near the automotive maintenance pit or other hazards identified during the assessment. Required deliverables and services include technical specifications, working drawings, cost estimates, as-built drawings, and construction-period services, including site visits. The estimated construction magnitude is $8,600,000. The procurement is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and requires Standard Form 330 submissions by email.
