Description
This solicitation is for engineering design services for Project #503-26-109, "Remediate Reserve Center UST" at the Altoona VA Medical Center in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The project scope includes an environmental assessment of the garage space and an undocumented underground storage tank (UST). This assessment will involve Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) scanning to determine the size and extent of the UST, identify underground drainage connections, and assess potential soil contamination. The design will also cover the removal of the UST and any contaminated soil, followed by restoration of the parking lot area. Additionally, any contaminated soil near the automotive maintenance pit and other hazards identified during the environmental assessment will be remediated. The selected firm will be responsible for providing design services, technical specifications, working drawings, cost estimates, as-built drawings, and construction period services, including site visits. The project magnitude for construction is estimated at $8,600,000.00. This is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside procurement, conducted in accordance with the Brooks Act.
