Description
The County of San Mateo, through San Mateo Medical Center, is procuring handheld retinal screening devices and associated services for use in ambulatory primary care clinics. Devices must be portable, battery-powered, include an integrated display, support wireless connectivity, provide image enhancement and annotation capabilities, and support standard image formats including JPEG, PNG, and DICOM. The devices must integrate with the medical center’s EPIC electronic health record system and be suitable for high-volume clinical use. The selected contractor will provide the devices, accessories, on-site user training, online training resources, maintenance and calibration, software updates, 24/7 technical support, warranty coverage, repair or replacement of defective devices, and integration assistance. AI-assisted image interpretation and FDA clearance are identified as optional features. Proposals must include separate technical and fee proposal files and address the required qualifications, approach, schedule, innovations, performance measures, firm and team qualifications, and references.
