Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is soliciting bids from a C-10 electrical contractor to provide labor, tools, equipment, materials, permits, taxes, and incidentals for semi-annual inspection, maintenance, and servicing of one diesel and one propane backup generator at two adjacent facilities. Required work includes fuel, electrical, engine, control, cooling, transfer-switch, and generator-set exercise inspections, including a minimum 30-minute loaded exercise and replacement of routine maintenance parts as needed. The contract also includes foreseeable, unforeseeable, and urgent repair services for generator components such as batteries, chargers, block heaters, radiators, thermostats, and water pumps. Repairs require prior approval and written estimates, with response within one business day for ordinary repairs and 24 hours for urgent repairs. The estimated cost is $60,000. The contract term runs from the applicable state approval through June 30, 2028, and prevailing-wage, insurance, bonding, licensing, public-works, and mandatory DVBE participation requirements apply.
