Description
The Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price purchase order for construction services at the Laurentian Divide Recreation Area in the Superior National Forest. The selected contractor must mobilize, remove and dispose of the existing roofing, repair decking as needed, install new underlayment, shingles, ridge cap, drip edge, and replacement fascia, paint the fascia, and stain the kiosk support beams. Specified or approved-equal materials include GAF or CertainTeed shingles, white galvanized-steel drip edge, white Sherwin-Williams paint, and Sikkens CETOL 1 Natural stain. The work must comply with applicable manufacturer instructions, the 2021 International Building Codes, Forest Service specifications, OSHA requirements, and Davis-Bacon wage requirements. Completion is required within 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated project magnitude is under $25,000, and the solicitation is a total small-business set-aside. Quotations must include a completed and signed SF 1442, a completed Schedule of Items, and a detailed Basis of Estimate.
