Description
The City of Abilene is requesting proposals from a certified and qualified vendor to provide pre-employment physical examinations for entry-level and lateral police officer candidates and fitness-for-duty evaluations for current Police Department employees. The vendor must provide qualified medical personnel, equipment, testing, scheduling, secure medical documentation, and determinations or work-related recommendations consistent with applicable law and Texas Commission on Law Enforcement requirements. Services will be performed at a vendor-provided location, with any City-authorized travel reimbursed under City requirements. The proposal must address the vendor’s organization, technical approach, staffing, qualifications, timelines, pricing, optional services, and compliance with applicable laws. It must include at least two sample reports, three governmental-entity references for similar work, resumes and qualifications for proposed full-time personnel, a professional-liability insurance certificate showing at least $500,000 per occurrence, a completed Certificate of Compliance, and an executed Authorization to Bind form. The contract is intended to begin on the date of award for one year and may renew by mutual agreement for up to four additional annual terms.
