Description
The City of The Colony is soliciting a contractor for the reconstruction of Chapman Street from Augusta Street to Curry Drive, the full length of Independence Drive, and Bartlett Place from the cul-de-sac to Clover Valley Drive. The work includes mobilization, right-of-way preparation, traffic control, demolition, excavation, flex-base installation, reinforced concrete pavement and sidewalks, ramps, retaining walls, landscaping and mailbox relocation, pavement markings, signage, and street-light foundations and conduit. The project also includes removal, abandonment, and installation of water and sanitary sewer infrastructure, including approximately 4,400 linear feet of water line and approximately 2,300 linear feet of sanitary sewer, along with valves, hydrants, service connections, manholes, trench safety, television inspections, testing, stormwater pollution prevention, and related restoration. The opinion of probable construction cost is $4,980,000. The work must be completed within 400 calendar days, including 20 inclement-weather days. A 5% bid bond and proof of insurance are required with the bid.
