Description
The City of Bryan is soliciting bids for an annual contract covering the demolition of dangerous and dilapidated structures within the City's corporate limits. Work includes demolition and disposal of structures, foundations, slabs, pavement, fences, debris, accessory structures, signs, light poles, underground fuel storage tanks, and other designated objects; utility disconnection and sewer-line capping; site cleanup; provision of clean fill; grading; erosion control; and restoration to a smooth, well-drained, mowable condition. The contract also includes asbestos abatement when required by an asbestos survey, including removal, disposal, and air monitoring, as well as emergency demolition response. The City anticipates annual demolition expenditures of up to $200,000, although quantities are not guaranteed. Bidders must have at least two consecutive years of comparable professional experience, provide five similar references, and submit pricing per ton of demolition debris, per square foot of asbestos abatement, and a minimum heavy-equipment mobilization charge. The contract runs through September 30, 2027, with up to four additional 12-month renewal periods.
