Description
Alief Independent School District is conducting a two-phase solicitation for individual medical and prescription drug stop-loss insurance protecting its self-funded employee health benefits plan against high-cost claims. Coverage is expected to become effective January 1, 2027, with 36/12 and 32/8 contract bases, specific deductibles of $500,000, $550,000, and $600,000, and a six-month Terminal Liability Option for each combination. Phase I requires respondents to complete the Phase I Respondent Workbook and portal attributes, addressing qualifications, placement capability, ranked market requests of up to three primary markets and two alternates, anticipated compensation, and three qualifying comparable client references. Carrier quotes, premium pricing, commission rates, and priced compensation alternatives are not requested in Phase I. Following written market assignments, authorized respondents may submit carrier pricing, coverage terms, underwriting conditions, compensation disclosures, and supporting documentation during Phase II under separate instructions and a separate deadline. The completed workbook must be submitted as an accessible Excel (.xlsx) file, with supporting documents uploaded separately and identified by applicable workbook section, question, or market rank.
