Description
The County seeks contractors to provide on-call electrical labor, parts, and equipment for projects costing less than $25,000 each at its Parks and Recreation locations. Work may include electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, lighting, panels, wiring, outlets, and other electrical infrastructure. The work is variable and assigned as needed; the County does not guarantee a minimum amount of work and may solicit individual jobs separately. The annual contract has a not-to-exceed amount of $100,000 per contract per year, and the County may award to a primary and secondary contractor. Contractors must provide electrical personnel and licensing information, respond to emergency calls within the specified response times, schedule non-emergency work within 48 hours, and agree on scope and cost with the Project Manager before work begins. Proposals must include hourly rates for electricians and helpers, including regular and weekend/holiday rates, and a percentage markup on materials, parts, and specialty equipment. The County evaluates experience and qualifications, project approach and equipment, MBE/WBE participation, pricing, and references. Subcontracting is permitted only with the County’s prior written approval.
