Description
The contractor will provide qualified electrical personnel, supervision, tools, equipment, and vehicles for on-demand electrical work at the Shirley’s Bay Campus. The scope includes installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of high-, medium-, and low-voltage distribution systems, fire alarm and communication systems, and related infrastructure. Tasks may include electrical distribution equipment and conduit installation, fire alarm maintenance, communications cabling, breaker work, protective relay maintenance, battery testing and UPS maintenance, pole-line work, and general electrical maintenance. The contractor must provide a stocked service vehicle, including access to a pole truck, and respond to non-emergency service calls within 48 hours or two business days. Emergency on-call availability is also expected. Personnel must be registered apprentices or hold a valid Ontario 309A electrician licence. Specialized subcontractors may be used for approved work outside typical electrical or lineman tasks, subject to the stated markup limit. The contract is on an as-and-when-requested basis, with an initial period through November 30, 2027, and two one-year options.
