Description
The City of Columbia is soliciting competitive proposals for construction of a production concession kitchen in the terminal building at Columbia Regional Airport. The scope includes demolition and new construction; concrete, framing, doors, finishes, casework, countertops, lockers, and wall protection; kitchen ventilation and make-up air; electrical distribution, lighting, receptacles, access control, plumbing, natural gas, sanitary connections, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and kitchen hood fire-suppression coordination. The contractor must furnish labor, supervision, mobilization, materials, equipment, tools, permits, safety measures, debris removal, and coordination of owner-furnished/contractor-installed items. The work must comply with the project manual, construction drawings, applicable codes, prevailing-wage requirements, airport security protocols, and FAA federal contract provisions. Substantial completion is required within 135 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Contractors must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price when the bid is $50,000 or more, and must address insurance, licenses, permits, subcontractors, experience, key personnel, method of performance, pricing, and required exhibits in the proposal.
