Description
The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles is seeking a qualified insurance Broker of Record to provide brokerage, insurance consulting, and risk management services. The broker will market, place, and service Public Officials Liability, Employment Practices Liability, and Excess Workers' Compensation and Employer Liability coverage; prepare underwriting specifications and marketing packages; negotiate with carriers; review policies, premiums, invoices, endorsements, and claims; and provide coverage, loss-control, risk-transfer, and ongoing program advice. The broker must also support renewals, provide reports and recommendations, coordinate insurers and claims personnel, protect confidential and personally identifiable information, and facilitate an orderly transition to a successor broker at contract expiration. The proposed contract is for an initial one-year term with two option terms, with services expected to commence no later than December 1, 2026. The incumbent's annual compensation is identified as $110,000. Brokers should not contact insurance markets for formal quotes during the solicitation; the evaluation will focus on broker qualifications, work plans, staffing, and fee structures. Addendum No. 2 provides loss-run information for the Public Officials Liability and Employment Practices Liability programs and requires a signed acknowledgment to be included with the submission.
