Description
The City of Palm Springs is seeking a professional insurance broker to serve as broker of record and provide ongoing advisory, brokerage, risk-transfer, risk-financing, policy-review, marketing, renewal, claims-assistance, certificate, contract-review, and coverage-consultation services. The scope covers the City's insured and self-funded programs, including property and equipment breakdown, earthquake and flood, excess general and automobile liability, employment practices and public officials liability, excess workers' compensation, airport liability, crime, cyber and data breach, media liability, VillageFest liability, aircraft hull and liability, and other coverages requested or recommended. The proposer must have at least 10 years of experience providing brokerage services to a municipality with a police and/or fire department, have no prior corrective-action history with the California Department of Insurance, and hold a current California insurance-broker license. The agreement is for three years with two additional one-year renewal options. Proposals require separate Technical Proposal and Cost Proposal electronic files; the cost proposal must use the provided form and present annual fees for five potential years. The technical submission must address qualifications, references, staffing, approach, local preference if applicable, and the required certifications and forms.
