Description
Dona Ana County is soliciting qualifications-based proposals from an insurance broker to serve as the County’s insurance advisor and representative. The selected broker will review the existing insurance program, identify coverage gaps and improvement opportunities, develop renewal strategies, market and place approved coverage, solicit competitive quotations, negotiate terms, verify policies and invoices, and provide ongoing account management and claims support. Required and potentially applicable coverage areas include law enforcement liability; public officials and employment practices liability; property; equipment breakdown; automobile liability and physical damage; cyber liability; crime and employee fidelity; excess and general liability; medical malpractice; environmental and pollution liability; tenant user liability; flood; builders risk; volunteer firefighter accident; fine arts and valuable papers; and aviation. The broker must be licensed in New Mexico, maintain at least $1,000,000 in errors and omissions insurance, demonstrate public-sector experience and technical capacity, provide key-personnel resumes, and have access to relevant insurance markets, including public entity, environmental, and airport coverage. The contract is for one year, with up to three additional one-year renewals by mutual consent.
