King County is soliciting general contractor/construction manager services for the Harborview Ninth and Jefferson Building 3T MRI Project. The scope includes preconstruction services, cost estimating and target-value budgeting, constructability review, phasing and scheduling, coordination with the design team and owner vendors, and construction services to create a make-ready space for a 3T MRI and associated programming upgrades to the existing outpatient imaging program. The MRI system and its chiller will be furnished and installed under a separate agreement. The contractor must coordinate with other general contractors and owner vendors and work within an active healthcare facility with limited parking and laydown space, 24-hour/7-day operations, complex staging requirements, infection-control and life-safety constraints, and required quality-control, safety, communication, risk-management, outreach, and inclusion programs. The proposal must address team qualifications, key personnel, relevant healthcare project experience, project profiles, safety qualifications, OSHA 300A forms, and MBE, WBE, PWSBE, and VOB participation and past performance.
