Description

Seattle Public Utilities is seeking one qualified consultant for on-call electrical engineering support over an expected five-year term. The scope includes field verification and electrical equipment data collection; short-circuit, protection and coordination, and arc flash hazard studies; ETAP electrical system modeling; stamped arc flash reports and labels; thermographic inspections; as-built one-line diagrams; electrical safety procedure reviews; and mitigation recommendations. The consultant will also support building electrification, decarbonization, energy and building performance compliance, resilience and redundancy planning, utility service upgrades, EV infrastructure load evaluation, mechanical and electrical assessments, energy modeling, options analysis, design, construction support, technical reports, drawings, cost estimates, and implementation recommendations. Work is expected to require a Washington-licensed Professional Engineer. The estimated contract value is $10 million to $12 million, with no guaranteed minimum utilization. Responses are evaluated on technical expertise and approach, quality assurance and document control, experience and qualifications, strategic alignment, and the WMBE Inclusion Plan.
