Description
This public works project includes construction of new ADA-compliant curb ramps, limited sidewalk repair, and traffic signal improvements, including new pedestrian pushbuttons, at seven intersections in Seattle. Work also includes associated electrical work, rebar installation, traffic control, utility adjustments, pavement and concrete work, landscaping and irrigation adjustments, stormwater and erosion controls, brick and concrete paver work, temporary pavement patching, and restoration activities shown in the plans and specifications. The engineer's estimate is $2,500,000 to $2,700,000. The contractor must submit a bid, signed declaration, 5% bid guaranty, Inclusion Plan, Bidder/Subcontractor List identifying electrical and rebar subcontractors or self-performance, and Proposal for Incorporating Recycled Materials. Addendum 1 replaced the Social Equity Plan with a five-page form, but that plan is due after intent to award and is a condition of award rather than a bid-submission requirement. The project has a 100-working-day completion period beginning after the Notice to Proceed. A 15% apprentice labor-hour requirement and City WMBE inclusion requirements apply.
