Description
The U.S. Navy is soliciting an eligible General MACC contractor to prepare and refinish approximately 800 exterior and common-area doors and associated frames at Buildings 4166, 4167, 4168, 4169, and 3673. Work includes cleaning, surface preparation, corrosion treatment, priming, finish painting, protection of adjacent surfaces and hardware, touch-up, and cleanup. The scope also includes field-verified quantities of exterior wall vents, louvers, grilles, and associated frames. At Building 3673, the contractor must additionally refinish approximately 2,350 linear feet of four-tube handrail and railing. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, materials, equipment, access equipment, PPE, and incidental items; prepare required product, safety, work-plan, schedule, and field-verification submittals; and perform the work in occupied buildings while maintaining installation security and minimizing disruption. The work is to be completed within 180 calendar days after award. Only the General MACC contractors listed in the solicitation may submit proposals.
