Description
The California Department of General Services, Facilities Management Division, is procuring services for a 175 kW Generac emergency generator and an Eaton automatic transfer switch at Cal EPA Building #024. The three-year agreement requires preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, repairs, annual automatic transfer switch maintenance, and a two-hour load-bank stress test. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, replacement parts, reports, and emergency repair response. The scope includes generator and fuel-system inspections, oil and filter changes, coolant service, battery and control-panel checks, transfer-switch testing, ground-fault testing, foreseeable and unforeseeable repairs, and emergency response within two hours. Bidders must hold a valid California C-10 electrical contractor license, use Generac-trained and certified service technicians, comply with prevailing-wage requirements, submit current proof of insurance, provide at least three similar references from the past five years, and meet the 3% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation requirement. Award is based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid.
