The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation is soliciting a contractor to improve approximately one-half mile of the Crow's Nest Natural Area Preserve entrance road in Stafford County. The work includes supplying approximately 700 tons of 21A crusher-run gravel, preparing the roadway by removing minor debris such as trash and grass, spreading the gravel to a finished depth of four inches across a 12-foot-wide roadway, compacting it with a roller compactor, and crowning the gravel to provide proper drainage. The scope also includes gravel delivery, mobilization and equipment, and labor. An optional site visit is available through September 27, 2026. Questions are due to the contracting officer by September 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The opportunity is designated as a Small Business Set-Aside.
