Description
Dane County seeks a contractor to replace six existing roof-mounted exhaust fans serving its food service facility. The work includes associated mechanical and electrical work, including new variable-frequency drives with integral disconnects, and must be coordinated to keep the facility operating while minimizing disruption. The project is a lump-sum construction contract; bidders must be qualified as Dane County Best Value Contractors before the bid deadline. An additive alternate requests cleaning the existing exhaust ductwork and associated kitchen hoods. The bid requires a 5% bid guarantee. The project documents also specify a 10% Emerging Small Business participation goal and require a good-faith effort to award at least 10% of the work to eligible businesses.
