Description
The project expands the airport economy parking lot and includes asphalt pavement removal, excavation, aggregate base, concrete and hot-mix asphalt pavement, curbs, sidewalks, railing, storm sewer, an underground detention facility, a modular block retaining wall, and chain-link fencing. Electrical and technology work includes luminaires, conduit, parking access and revenue control system equipment, cameras, barrier arms, operators, and canopies. Bids must be submitted electronically through BidExpress. A bid security equal to 5% of the total bid is required. Prime or general contractors must be prequalified by the stated deadline; the required prequalification statement is not required again from firms with current, valid approval. A sworn non-collusion statement is incorporated into the electronic proposal. The solicitation states that the contract completion time is specified in Special Provision No. 3.
