Description
The project is a complete renovation of an existing commercial kitchen. Work includes selective demolition; new and modified plumbing, electrical, HVAC, ventilation, fire alarm and fire-protection systems; kitchen finishes and assemblies; and testing, commissioning, inspections, and closeout. The contractor must coordinate with the County and a third-party equipment provider to receive, place, assemble as needed, anchor, level, and connect the new commercial kitchen equipment. The equipment itself is furnished by a third party and is not part of the contractor's procurement scope. The work includes a new rooftop unit, makeup-air unit, kitchen exhaust fan and hood, plumbing and gas modifications, electrical upgrades, and modifications to existing fire alarm and sprinkler systems. The bid is based on a 180-calendar-day completion schedule. The project is funded through the Community Development Block Grant program and includes applicable federal labor, Section 3, and domestic-content requirements.
