Description
The City seeks vendors capable of supplying 12,000–14,000 renewable energy credits (RECs) annually to support its goal of 100% renewable electricity for City operations. All RECs must be generated within the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) service territory; the City strongly prefers sources close to Madison, Wisconsin, and prefers Green-e-certified RECs tracked through an approved registry such as M-RETS. Respondents must describe their experience and annual REC volume, certification, generation technologies and locations, additionality, and environmental, community, or economic co-benefits. They must also provide pricing for the requested annual volume, explain whether pricing is fixed and includes certification, and propose available contract lengths and associated pricing. Responses are limited to 10 pages and must follow the solicitation’s numbered-question sequence. The City is interested in both one-year and multi-year options.
