Description
The California Highway Patrol is seeking a contractor to provide 24-hour monitoring of the fire, intrusion, and panic alarm systems at its Madera Area Office. The work includes maintaining the alarm system and its required Underwriters Laboratories certification, replacing system batteries annually, documenting equipment, and conducting annual inspections and testing of all devices, including smoke detectors, notification devices, control panels, sensors, and backup batteries. Test results must be provided to the agency. The contractor must hold the specified alarm-system certification and licenses, and must perform at least 75% of the work itself. The agreement is anticipated to run from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, with possible extensions. The bid form requests monthly monitoring rates and annual inspection and testing rates; the agency intends to award to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest evaluated cost. Repairs are not funded under this agreement.
