Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to award a fixed-price contract to Getz Fire Equipment Company for replacement and commissioning of the marine fire detection and alarm system aboard the towboat M/V Quincy. The work includes removing the obsolete Siemens Cerberus System 3 control panel and legacy devices; furnishing, mounting, and integrating an OEM-compatible Siemens Cerberus PRO marine-type-approved control panel and compatible detectors, pull stations, notification appliances, and marine isolation modules; and programming, testing, and providing marine certification for the integrated system. The system must meet U.S. Coast Guard Marine Inspection and 46 CFR Subchapter M standards. This is a notice of intent to sole source, not a request for competitive quotes, and no solicitation will be issued. Firms believing they can meet the requirement may email a capability statement with supporting evidence by the stated deadline. The Government will decide at its discretion whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
