Description
The Wilmette Public Library is soliciting sealed bids from a single-prime contractor for the phased modernization of two existing elevators. The scope includes demolition, elevator controls and equipment, cab finishes, electrical work, fire alarm and fire protection work, HVAC/mechanical work, and minor interior finishes. Bids must be submitted in duplicate by mail or hand delivery in an opaque sealed envelope. A bid bond or certified check payable to the Board of Library Trustees, equal to 10% of the base bid amount, is required with the bid. The successful bidder must provide performance and labor and material payment bonds and a certificate of insurance. Applicable Illinois prevailing-wage, labor, bidding, and equal-opportunity requirements apply.
