Description
The City of Cedar Rapids Fleet Services Division is seeking a contractor to upfit a 2027 low-roof Ford Transit Cargo Van (R1Y0 T250 LR) for animal transport. The work includes insulated and sound-deadened interior surfaces; sealed, washable aluminum flooring and walls; stainless-steel animal cages with polycarbonate doors, drains, removable dividers, and polypropylene grate flooring; a bulkhead separating the cab from the animal area; a viewing window, digital thermometer, adjustable cage ventilation, storage, and a catch-pole holder. The contractor must provide an all-inclusive firm-fixed price, descriptive manufacturer literature, a completed specification checklist, and certification regarding the ability to obtain required insurance. The completed vehicle must be delivered to the City after completion, with pre-delivery inspection and cleaning, warranty and service documentation, and final inspection. Required insurance includes general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation/employers' liability, and garagekeepers liability coverage. Bids must be submitted electronically through the City's online E-Procurement portal; email, fax, and hard-copy submissions are not accepted.
