Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking a consultant to advance the Greenway Parks Plan into 30% preliminary engineering designs for the entirety of Time Check Greenway Park and the Riverfront Greenway Park north of Interstate 380, an approximately 110-acre project area. The scope includes finalized layout and grading plans, an opinion of probable construction cost, coordination with the City's flood-control-system consultant, field review, one in-person community engagement event, and electronic deliverables. The consultant must provide a comprehensive team that includes at least one WEDG Associate and address project management, background research, preliminary plans, recommended project phasing, permitting strategy, and potential funding opportunities. Designs must coordinate with flood-control infrastructure and applicable Iowa, federal, and local requirements, including FEMA and Iowa Department of Natural Resources considerations. The project is expected to be completed within approximately six months from the Notice to Proceed. The estimated project budget is $250,000, and the proposal must include a single PDF containing a cover letter and executive summary, company background and experience, response to the scope of services, and a financial proposal.
