Description
The City of Cedar Rapids Public Works Streets Division is soliciting electronic bids for concrete and asphalt crushing services. The contractor must crush approximately 70,000 tons of stockpiled concrete and asphalt pavement into Iowa DOT Gradation 14 modified subbase, remove and recycle embedded steel, and provide the equipment, labor, transportation, calibrated onboard scales, weigh tickets, and other resources required. The work also includes independent laboratory quality-control and verification testing, movement of crushed material and fine byproduct as directed, and pricing per ton for HMA, PCC, and fine material byproduct. Work must be completed by April 30, 2027, during approved weekday hours. The City will accept bids only through its online e-procurement portal; email, fax, and hard-copy submissions are not accepted.
