Description
The City of Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department is soliciting a firm-fixed-price bid for the Jones Park Pickleball Court Lighting project. The selected contractor must remove existing lighting and wiring at the southern five courts and furnish and install new breakers, wiring, conduit, light fixtures, and all related labor, equipment, permits, testing, cleanup, and incidental work in accordance with the plans and specifications. Boring conduit beneath existing concrete is preferred where feasible; other conduit may be pulled or trenched as specified. The contractor must comply with applicable safety and accessibility requirements, maintain required insurance, and provide payment and performance bonds after award, each equal to the contract price. The bid requires completion of the electronic bid attributes and pricing submission, including company personnel, experience, warranty, lead time, completion time, subcontractor information, bid acceptance, payment method, and related certifications. A completed insurance-ability certification is required with the bid; the Buy Local Packet is applicable only to businesses claiming local preference. The initial contract term ends November 30, 2026, and work may begin only after the required approvals, signed contract, and purchase order are issued.
