Description
The City of Cedar Rapids Community Development Department is requesting professional services to complete 30% preliminary design plans for the Time Check and Riverfront portions of the Greenway Parks Plan. The scope includes project management, background research, preliminary engineering plans, field review, community engagement, project phasing recommendations, permitting strategy, and identification of future funding opportunities. Deliverables include electronic plan files, an opinion of probable construction cost, a phasing strategy memo, a permitting roadmap, a funding opportunities summary, and engagement materials. Designs must address flood resilience, stormwater management, shoreline and habitat conditions, accessibility, applicable regulations, and the Waterfront Edge Design Guidelines. The selected consultant must include at least one WEDG Associate and coordinate with the City's Flood Control System consultants. The project is anticipated to be completed within approximately six months from the Notice to Proceed, and the proposal must include a total not-to-exceed price and supporting rate sheet.
