Description
The City of Unalaska is seeking a qualified engineering firm to evaluate existing conditions and design improvements for the approximately 1,000-foot Spit Dock at the International Port of Dutch Harbor. The scope includes assessment and rehabilitation or replacement of the timber fender system; upgrades providing approximately four to six 480V shore power connections; complete replacement of the potable water distribution system; freeze protection; and coordination with existing dock, utility, and port operations. The selected consultant will provide project management, field investigations, multidisciplinary engineering design, permitting support, construction drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, bid schedules, quantity estimates, construction sequencing, final bid documents, and bidding-period support. Proposals must include firm experience, at least three relevant project examples with references, proposed team qualifications, project understanding, technical approach and schedule, a lump-sum cost proposal, and documentation demonstrating compliance with the specified insurance requirements. The proposal has a 15-page limit, excluding the cover page, table of contents, and dividers.
