Description
Lansing Board of Water & Light is seeking supplemental overhead and underground electric line crew services on an as-needed basis. Contractors must provide three-person crews consisting of a crew leader, journey worker, and apprentice (with the option to substitute a second journey worker), work at least 40 hours per week, and furnish their own vehicles, tools, and equipment. Contractors will work under their own Miss Dig tickets, use BWL-approved materials, follow BWL construction, maintenance, safety, and electric transmission and distribution procedures, and attend a safety orientation before beginning work. Work is scheduled from November 2026 through October 2029. Proposals must include a full hourly rate schedule for crew availability and service costs and coverage. Evaluation will consider cost, experience, responsiveness, and acceptance of BWL's terms and conditions. The required response includes the sworn and notarized Iran Economic Sanctions Act affidavit, rate sheet, required electronic bid attributes, and at least three references for similar work. The solicitation does not require bonds; insurance certificates are required before contract performance rather than with the proposal.
