Description
The City of East Lansing is seeking a qualified executive recruiting firm to design and conduct a comprehensive national search for its City Manager position. The scope includes developing leadership and community profiles; national advertising and active recruitment; building a broad and diverse candidate pool; screening and evaluating candidates; preparing candidate assessments; supporting interviews, community forums, stakeholder engagement, and finalist selection; conducting reference and background inquiries; and providing post-selection support. Proposals must describe the firm's applicable city, county, and comparable executive-search experience; recruitment networks and methods; project approach and timeline; key personnel and resumes; authorized negotiators; three customer references; and a detailed cost proposal covering the full project and potential additional services. The proposal must also address the City's special directives, local-vendor status, applicable licensing, and required diversity, equity, and inclusion considerations. The contract is proposed for six months, with an option to extend for an additional three months.
