Description
Lansing Board of Water and Light is seeking proposals from artists or artist teams for the creation and purchase of three-dimensional sculptural artwork to be suspended from the ceiling in the lobby of its Reo Town Headquarters. The artwork may use any medium and may consist of any size or number of pieces, but should connect to the utility and the Lansing community and demonstrate durability and site-specific suitability. Proposals must include the artist's contact information, resume or artist statement, at least three examples of past work, an artistic concept addressing the medium, scale, design, and community connection, an artwork description with finished size or scale, and a project timeline with a detailed budget. Required response materials also include a sworn and notarized Iran Economic Sanctions Act affidavit, examples of work with an artist bio, budget and timeline, and a cost breakdown including materials and labor. Ingham County residents are encouraged to apply. The buyer will evaluate cost, specifications, theme adherence, responsiveness, completion time, exceptions, financial stability, and recent and past experience.
