The Administration for Children and Families’ Office of Family Violence Prevention and Services is offering cooperative agreements to organizations providing culturally specific services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Funded activities may include program planning, needs assessments, partnership development, advocacy, case management, crisis intervention, referrals, legal and medical advocacy, housing and transportation assistance, child care, employment and financial empowerment services, counseling, telehealth, peer support, outreach, training, and public awareness. Applicants must propose a two-phase project: a 6- to 12-month assessment and planning phase followed by implementation. Applications must include a project narrative, work plan, evaluation and dissemination plans, organizational-capacity materials, budget and budget narrative, required federal forms, and supporting documentation. The program expects 25 awards of $200,000 for the first budget period and anticipates four one-year budget periods. Construction, real-property purchases, and major renovations are not allowable costs.
