Description
The United States Coast Guard is seeking information from vendors offering commercially available rotary-wing aircraft that can support aerial interception, airborne use of force and non-compliant vessel interdiction, and maritime search-and-rescue missions. Aircraft should be capable of incorporating Coast Guard-specific mission equipment, sensors, weapons systems where applicable, and secure communications, and will be operated as government-owned, government-operated, and government-maintained assets. The requested capabilities include FAA airworthiness certification or certification potential; day/night VFR and IFR operations; NVG-compatible crew stations; integrated communications and C4ISR systems; advanced avionics and automated flight controls; a minimum 3,000-pound useful payload; at least three hours of endurance; shipboard operations; strategic airlift transportability; high-temperature and high-altitude performance; weapons and mission-equipment integration; helicopter in-flight refueling; rescue hoist capability; and specified range, speed, hangar-envelope, and maritime operating requirements. Respondents must provide organizational information, aircraft technical data, integration and modification requirements, contract-vehicle information, recommended contract types, and rough-order-of-magnitude pricing per aircraft and for mission-specific modifications. This is a sources-sought RFI for market research only, not a solicitation or commitment to award a contract.
